Sometimes we find comfort in the silence among others. It is
best to not speak. Just sitting with loved ones is enough. No words or noises
are needed because the situation does not call for it. Traumatic events will
transpire and then call us to be our strongest self. And in those moments when
we feel at our weakest sometimes we break down and cry or shout or say things
we don’t mean. And other times we sit in silence.
This week’s story is not mine to tell and I would never give
away someone else’s journey for the sake of a blog. Just know to keep someone I
know in your thoughts and prayers. Even if you’re not a religious or spiritual
person, send mental well wishes to this person and their family. I think that in times like these everyone
clings to the thought that even thinking about someone will help.
To keep this short I want to get this message across: I will
listen to you. Even if you feel like no one is listening, I am. Someone else
is. Don’t keep anything you feel is too heavy or burdensome to yourself if you
feel the weight of it all is too much to take. I know it’s said a lot but you
are loved. Talk to me, someone, anyone, if you feel you cannot go on. And if
that isn’t your style, find comfort in silence with someone. Or be that comfort
to someone else. It could make a world of difference.
