This is why rednecks are sketchy

If you don’t go to Sonic America’s Drive-In every so often, you’re missing out. In fact, I’m not sure why you’re reading this blog then. You’re obviously completely out of the loop and away from all forms of communication. Unfortunately, my local Sonic is kind of pathetic. They have a drive-through, so that’s nice, but other than that they don’t really have it together. They constantly get orders wrong, they take longer than most Sonics, and they are next to this sketchy little area. And in that sketchy little area is where some huge scandal is probably taking place.

I frequent that Sonic a lot, so I know what goes down. There’s this unnamed area next door that is fairly boarded up and always has a flashing “Open” sign. I have never seen anyone really park to go in this place, nor have I ever seen anyone that looks like they might work there. Maggie was actually the one to point it out to me. I’d never given it a second thought, because the strip next to it seems to have some businesses.

The following video was taken around two weeks ago. It was the first time we had actually ever witnessed someone go in this place, well actually, two men. They were pretty country from the looks of it. They drove a big white pick-up, wore hunting jackets with the leafy-camo, and had working boots on. The whole time we were at the Sonic, we never saw any lights go on or anyone come out. So we’re assuming they went into the “spa”—as it is advertised—and had some time of appointment. This is where things get sketchy:

So if you’ve read my This is why I won’t give my number out to rednecks, linked here, then you know I use the term “Redneck” pretty loosely. Really in Texas anyone could be a hick; rednecks tend to be slightly trashier, I guess. I don’t know, I’m not an expert. But these guys seemed like the epitome of redneck. The thing that doesn’t work is why would they be going into a spa? Most country guys are manly men and to walk in two at a time? Not to pile on stereotypes, but that just doesn’t add up.

For Maggie and me, it is all the proof we need that something darker is going on. But we’ll never know. I mean, I’ll probably go back to that Sonic, but who knows if I’ll ever see anyone go in there again. It’ll probably be one of those mysteries that stands the test of time and is never solved, much like the Dingo story.

This is why my dreams, literally, do come true

Dreams are really weird things. Some cultures used to believe that they could predict the future based on dreams. I am still in that culture. I choose to believe that I am “mildly psychic.” Now I just want to say that this will probably upset people who actually think they are psychic and people who believe psychics are works of the devil. I honestly couldn’t care less. As a mildly psychic person, I take a stand to both of those types of persons. While I don’t believe that you have a dream one night and the next day it has to come true, I do believe that I have dreams and sometimes the next day they come true. So I’m just throwing that on the table, you can take it or you can leave it there.  It’s all your choice. You don’t even have to believe me, but you should just look at one of my examples:

Recently I had a dream that I went into a Target store to look for purses, or something. Whilst in there, I ran into a friend I hadn’t seen in a long time that had been trying to hang out with another friend (shout out to Chris “A Cholo” Ochoa). I yelled at Chris and told him that Maggie had been trying to hang out with him and he was a bad friend for not doing so and he said that he would hang out with her. THE VERY NEXT DAY I was hanging out with Maggie and we decided to go out with some friends. Low and behold, unbeknownst to us, Chris was in the group.

BOOM. Did I just blow your mind? You have to remember Maggie had been trying to hang out with Chris for months. And who brought them together? My dream.  Now that’s a rather silly example. But I do have one that will upset probably around three-fourths of superstitious Spurs fans out there.
The night before the deciding game against the Thunder, I had a dream they would win if I didn’t watch any of the game. Well I caved and watched some of the game. And they lost. So I’m not saying I’m at fault for that, but I am willing to take that bullet for the sake of the Spurs and my dreams being correct. I did, however, have this dream that Al Gore caused children in Africa to look like trees. So, I’m not sure that one will come true. But if it does you have me to thank for predicting that.

Okay so I don’t fully buy into it. But it is crazy when you have a dream and it comes true the next day. I bet this makes the people who don’t really remember their dreams slightly jealous. As it should. Sometimes I would rather not dream at all. Some of my dreams are intense almost to the point of switching from psychic to psycho. So the next time you dream, maybe you should pay attention to what happens. Because wouldn’t that be crazy if that one dream where you couldn’t really run because your legs won’t move so you can’t get away from the bad guys came true?

This is why dingos changed my perception of mysteries

I had a whole different blog planned out for today, but then something amazing happened. The “Dingo Ate My Baby” story started trending again. Apparently there was some break in the case. In summation for those of you who don’t know, these people in Australia went camping with a baby and all of a sudden their baby was missing and the parents claimed that a dingo took their baby. It’s really sad. I don’t know if it actually happened that way. The mom served jail time because the authorities didn’t believe her. And I guess now they do? I don’t know; that’s not why I was excited today. That would actually be a tragic thing to be excited for.

But the fact that this story was trending again took me on a flash back to the 6th grade. We were assigned to read this, albeit kind of creepy, book about several mysteries that were never really solved. We were also assigned groups to present, and my story just happened to be the Dingo one.  I have been on a search all day to find this book and see if there have been any “breakthroughs.” I’m not sure if you can count the Dingo case today as a breakthrough, seeing as how I’m still not completely aware of what the news is. The problem is that I don’t remember the author, the book name, or the publishing company. I remember it had this purplish hue to it. It might have been blue. And it was probably printed in 2003 or 2002. So we have a lot to work with here.

Since I can’t remember a thing about this book I found this link instead: http://listverse.com/2007/07/20/top-10-unsolved-mysteries/
It’s good enough. Especially since the only two mysteries I remember from the previous book were about the Dingo Baby and the Zodiac Killer. So now I’ve been thinking about the Zodiac guy. That’s an even more gruesome and interesting story, but I’ll spare you the details, go look it up. And if you stumble across the 2004 movie with Jake Gyllenhaal, don’t watch it. It’s a waste of time.

Okay, so I couldn’t resist saying something about the Zodiac Killer. There was this serial killer back in the ‘60s who would see young adults, sometimes couples on dates, and kill them. He would then send letters to the local newspaper and they would be in a code. The code used the zodiac symbols for its message. He said that if they didn’t print them, he would kill more people, which he ended up doing anyway. This went on for awhile and they never caught him. Or her. And it’s not like I enjoy that this guy killed people. I just am intrigued into the psyche of this dude and how he was never caught. There’s a lot more to it, but those are the details I will spare you.

So the point of this is to say that there are way too many mysteries on this planet. And I need to have answers now. Or I’ll just wait. You know, whatever. But I will never ever want the mystery of aliens to be solved. It’s probably my biggest fear. Also because we wouldn’t have this guy:

This is an update!
I have noticed a trend with my blog posts. They are usually once a week and majority are posted on Tuesdays. This has never been planned, but now I think it's quite genius. So if you care or are an avid reader, which don't even try to deny, I know some of you are, then consider this a notice. I'll be writing posts mainly on Tuesdays. If you want to remember this without me bombarding your newsfeed, remember This is Tuesday as the title. Post Secret has Sundays. Jenna Marbles has Wednesdays. I am taking after all the great web entities.
This is mucho importante to me because even though I have a job, this blog does provide me with a measly income. So I need your help to get me out there more and  whatnot. Thanks for your time!

This is why Gotye should pay me monies

There comes a song every so often that is just begging to be parodied. I’m not sure if parody is the word, but the song is easily applicable to everyday situations. The best example I can give is Ke$ha’s ‘Blow.’ Last year, “This place about to blowwww,” turned into me singing, “This show’s about to show.” “This dough looks like a doe,” and when we had the freakishly cold winter weather, “This snow’s about to snow.” Well this year Gotye’s ‘Somebody That I Used to Know’ is that song. If I was remotely able to play an instrument (read my other blog about me wishing to play music [see how I promoted myself to myself?]{Pretty cool huh? And see how I’m able to keep this going?}<This was the stuff you learned in 8th grade math, if you actually paid attention. Except I have to stop because I don’t know how to keep going after this punctuation and I don't even know if I did that right>) then I would parody all of the fun lyrics I sing on the YouTubes. But I don’t, so everyone’s going to have to settle with me typing the fun ways I remix Gotye:

And now you’re just a person trying to be a Bro.

And now you’re just a gardener that likes to hoe.

And now that last one became a double-entendre for another hoe.

And now you’re just a Spurs fan saying Go Spurs Go. (bleh too soon)

And now you’re just a person singing Ke$ha’s ‘Blow.’

You look like you could really smoke some dro. (In no way am I advocating the use of illegal drugs. I’m not sure if you even smoke that?)

And now you’re thinking of ways to one-up me though.

But I can do these all day, countless, in a row.

Why? Because the number of friends I have is zero.

That’s not true because I’m fun to know.

Now I just sound cocky so back to work I go.

So you get the point. If you’re talented with music, feel free to reference me if you become a mega superstar using one of my puns. Also feel free to give me some of the royalties. Yeah, I’m talking to you, Gotye.
