I have a core belief that hobbies are essential to the soul
of a person. Without something to occupy one’s time, one becomes very dull and
starts speaking in phrases like “one.” Even if you don’t think you have a
hobby, you do; however, it’s probably something unjustifiably stupid like
updating Facebook every three seconds (seriously, just get a twitter if you’re
updating that much). Can you guess what my hobby was when I was younger?
Correct. Writing.
My mom was cleaning the other day and found a “book” I wrote
when I was 7 about what I thought College was going to be like. And as I am a
totally unselfish being, I decided to share it with all of you. (I will be
typing everything as it is written in the book)
College:
Written (And Illustrated but my scanner is broken) by Marie Gonzale (I obviously did not know how to spell my name when I was 7)

Chapter 1: I want a
Job
Once apon a time there was a girl who wanted a JOB! First
she thougt, how about a teacher?
She tought mebay not because to man children to teach.
So she taught a cheacker. So she thought not to because to
many food to check.
So she thought a banker. SO she thought not to becasue to
much money to handle.
Chapter 2: Finding
out what I want
She thought how about a gardener. So she thought not to,
because to much planting to do.
Then she thought how about a doctor. SO she thought to her
self how about it because she was going to college and she was good with
helping people.
So she WENT to get a piece of paper and a doctor on it and
hang it on the refrifeartor.
Chapter 3: Room Mate
So she drove off to college. She was going to A.W. College
(a fake college, also A.W. stands for advice).
When she got there she met this girl. She became her friend.
Her name was Lisa. Amy is the name of the other girl.
They had to be friends. They were room mates.
One day, it was the first day of class, She got a letter.
Chapter 4: The
Embarrassing Letter
So she opened the letter and it said:
Dear Amy,
I forgot to pack your under ware
Love, your mom.
P.S. I love you.
She felt embrassed and also Lisa found it and thought it was
hers and read it.
Lisa told Amy about it and Amy didn’t talk to her for 4
days.
Chapter 5: I’m Sorry
Then Lisa said I’M SORRY.
Then Amy said I FORGIVE you.
Oh my, Lisa thought I’m not ready.
Then Amy did the same thing.
Chapter 6: The
Guation (graduation)
One day Amy got a letter saying you could guatiate. So did
Lisa.
Amy wanted to be a doctor and she did. And Lisa wanted to be
a teacher and she did.
They said goodbye to another and they promised to see each
other again.
And they did one day.
The End
So there you have it. I did not change a single word.
Literary masterpiece. Also, 7 year old me knows what college is really like. I hope that one day, you can discover what
your hobby is, if you haven’t already. But until then, you can borrow mine and appreciate
what a 7 year-old was thinking.
